About Me

Briefly, I grew up in a low-income household, where I was the first person in my family to receive a bachelor’s degree. I graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering on a 100% need-based scholarship. Afterwards, I attended the University of Notre Dame, where I worked with Alexander Mukasyan in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering department and received my PhD in 2018. During which, I received a Fulbright grant and lived in Russia, splitting my time between Moscow and Chernogolovka. Afterwards, I started as a postdoctoral researcher in Yury Gogotsi’s laboratory at Drexel University, where I was promoted to be a research assistant professor after three years. I am currently an assistant professor at Rutgers in the Chemistry and Chemical Biology department.
